One Man. One Bathroom... DIY skills put to the test!

Dave decided to put his DIY skills to the ultimate test when undertaking a bathroom refurbishment project himself. The existing bathroom was extremely dated and a major overhaul was desperately needed to modernise it.

Dave successfully managed to strip the old bathroom out, plumb the new bathroom in - complete with a Geberit Wall Hung frame and toilet and Matki Eauzone shower enclosure and even completed building the mirrored pocket door himself. His DIY skills are second to none and the only part he couldn't complete was the plastering! The finished result is a stunning contemporary bathroom. Hansgrohe and Geberit have created really useful instruction tutorials for fitting their bathroom products and Dave took the time to watch these and learn from them. He said "I’d spend a lot of time making sure of dimensions etc so I didn’t make an expensive mistake." It's commonly thought that in order to create a beautiful bathroom you need a large space to begin with, much bigger than a family size bathroom. This is a great example of how that isn't the case, a standard bathroom can be completely transformed into a modern up-to-date design, worthy of an instagram snap or two! Well done Dave, top job!

The bathroom before...

"My favourite part was definitley the Eclisee sliding mirror pocket door . I love how smooth it is."

"The biggest challenge I'd say was fitting the panelling around the shower as it needed to follow into the window reveals and follow the ceiling lines, as well as fit squarely."
