Make every day a Spa day - Dornbracht's LifeSpa transforms the bath into a private Spa

Relaxing under Dornbracht's Aquamoon at Cottonmill Spa, Sopwell House

We were incredibly excited to be invited by Dornbracht to experience their LifeSpa products at the new private luxury spa, Cottonmill, at Sopwell House in Hertfordshire. Spa designers Sparcstudio worked with Edinburgh-based ISA architects to complete the stunning £14m refurbishment and Dornbracht were chosen to provide multi-sensory showers throughout the spa.

Cottonmill spa boasts a huge array of features including salt and botanical steam rooms, a panoramic sauna, a garden relaxation room, indoor and outdoor thermal hydro-pools that flow into the garden and an outdoor area which houses a firepit, three jacuzzis and a multi-sensory shower.

The spa also features a Whisper Room with bespoke beds overlooking the garden and a Deep Relaxation Room, a cocoon-like experience based on traditional Chinese medicine.

We were blown away with the attention to detail throughtout the spa. Tom Dixon lighting is featured throughout as well as bespoke furniture. Gantner wristbands operate the lockers in the luxury changing rooms.

On of the highlights from our Cottonmill spa day was the Aquamoon shower experience. In this beautiful outdoor setting this spa application permits a unique encounter with the element of water: three newly-developed flow modes and a fascinating lighting mood are combined to form an emotional water experience.

Dornbracht understand that water can have a positive impact on our lives and that their is now a market for wellness solutions in the home as well as providing for the professional spa sector. After many years of water application research and in collaboration with well-known experts from Kneipp therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine, they've created their innovative LifeSpa solutions. From an affusion pipe and an exclusive foot bath, to relaxing baths and massage and wellness showers, these products are suitable for a variety of budgets and can easily be installed into a bathroom to create that luxury spa experience at home.
